  18.    It took me awhile to find this out but you need to use a 2 color bitmap 
  19. for PixPro IFF imports to work effectively.  I use Deluxe Paint, and it has 
  20. been awhile since I have needed to do this, with black and white on a high 
  21. resolution screen.  And if I remember correctly, the letters (or in this 
  22. case, a map) has to be in white and the background in black, and black has 
  23. to be color 0.  If you want your map to be divided into states or counties 
  24. or whatever, the outlines should be in white using fairly wide "lines", if 
  25. you want an outline object.  If you want "face" objects, the county or state 
  26. should be in white and seperated from the adjoining state or county by 
  27. black.  I think it also helped to save the whole area as a brush versus a 
  28. picture.  This results in fairly smooth object edges.
  29.   I think I tried for the longest time to use black letters or outlines 
  30. against a white background and I got these objects with double points at 
  31. each "jaggy" and I could never get those cleaned up.

  33. related to generating objects for Lightwave though!
